My Thoughts
Randy Alcorn said in his book Money, Possessions, and Eternity, “Abundance isn't God's provision for me to live in luxury. It's his provision for me to help others live. God entrusts me with his money not to build my kingdom on earth, but to build his kingdom in heaven.”
Unfortunately, today many Christians believe that the accumulation of assets is meant for storing up treasures in this world. That does not mean that we should not save and invest but should do it to meet the biblical needs of our families and to give glory to God. The vehicle that we use to save should align with our biblical beliefs.
Unfortunately, most Christians do not understand where their retirement and short-term savings accounts are invested. In many cases these investments do not align with what they believe. Companies that openly financially support Planned Parenthood are a part of the S and P 500. The need for bible based financial planning has never been greater in our society. It is critical that Christians gain knowledge about Biblically responsible investing and begin to put plans together to implement it.
